eBay Social Media

Overview
During my time at eBay, I led social marketing creative and direction. My main objective was to grow the brand’s social presence by incorporating innovative ideas while upholding the brands identity. I was the primary contact between the agency and in-house creative team and led the direction of day-to-day work, as well as social campaigns. I've also worked as an in-house photographer, motion designer, and content creator.

Creative Direction
One of my roles at eBay was to direct creative internally and externally. This included briefing agencies on visual direction/strategy and giving feedback to internal and external creative. Our team often collaborated with other brands to grow our engagement and exposure. Some of those brands include Adidas, Den of Geeks, Mattel, Slam, Stadium Goods, Vans, WatchBox among others. Our scope was not limited to brands alone, but influencers and celebrities. Some of those were PJ Tucker, Beau Dunn, Kim Kardashian, Kesha, Geoff Wilson, & Emmitt Smith to name a few.

Audience Engagement & Retention
My goal coming to eBay was to grow our following and audience engagement. We had to create a clear distinction between our on-site and social content, while still adhering to the brand standards. Our solution was to use animations, become socially relevant, collaborate with other brands, and maintain retention among our following. Incorporating motion into our social content not only enhanced the engagement of each post, but served as great way to dynamically incorporate text. To connect with younger demographic and be socially relevant, we tapped into the meme culture and #challenges. Collaborating with various brands successfully helped us reach new audiences. To keep our following engaged, we held surprise price drops and giveaways on coveted items.

Photography
During my time at eBay, I took on the role of in-house photographer. Previously, the majority of our images were outsourced to an agency, which did not allow the flexibility to quickly turn around a projects. To solve this problem, I assumed the role of our in-house photographer and learned the proper lighting and framing techniques. The images below are some of the projects I photographed & animated.
